Love marriages are
said to be the ‘new’, ‘cool’ thing that is trending like a speeding train. Arranged
marriages are often claimed to be pointless as parents believe that one should
not talk to strangers but instead marry them. I see arrange marriages as an
adventurous journey filled with exploration, risks, excitement and love that
only grows with time. When you are married to someone, you don’t really know or
even understand them, yet you eventually don’t fall but grow in love. As
everything that falls breaks, but everything that grows gets stronger and
becomes unbreakable.
I look at arrange
marriage as a project assigned to people by God. Just imagine, how much fun it
would be to get to know your partner by noticing the little things he or she
does and figuring out his or her likes and dislikes. To try and understand what
makes him or her happy or sad, so that you can do something to get that smile
on his or her face. It’s like God has shown you the way to a beautiful journey,
and now it’s on you to take it where you believe it deserves to be.
